Three major highways cross Marion: US Highways
60 and 641 and Kentucky 91.

US
60 runs from the East Coast to the West Coast and provides easy access to
Evansville and Paducah.
US 641 runs from Marion
to West Tennessee. Twenty miles south of Marion it connects with Interstate 24.
Within five years US 641 will be a four-lane route from Marion to the I-24 Corridor
at Kuttawa.
Kentucky 91 provides access to
the West Kentucky Parkway in the southeast and the Cave-In Rock Ferry.
Ferry and Water Transport:
The
Cave-In Rock Ferry provides free scenic transportation between Southern
Illinois and Crittenden County 18 hours a day. An average of 15,000 vehicles cross
each month, with two-thirds of the riders originating from Illinois.
Water
Transportation Crittenden County's location near
the heart of Western Kentucky Waterways offers industry several options for water
transport. The Lyon County Riverport on Lake Barkley is 28 miles south
of Marion, while the Paducah Riverport and the Henderson County Riverport
both offer access to the Ohio River within an hour's drive of Marion.
Rail Rail service is only
a short drive from most of Marion. Service is available on the Paducah and Louisville
Railroad in both Eddyville (21 miles) and Princeton (20 miles).
Air
The Marion Airport currently offers 2,500 feet of lighted turf runway. However,
within two years, the airport runway will be extended to 4,700 feet paved and
will be able to handle executive jets.
