Kentucky's Lieutenant Governor Dan Mongiardo was
our speaker at the 2008 Annual Meeting of the Crittenden
County Economic Development Corporation on July
17, 2008.
He addressed the needs of education, the state
of the healthcare crisis in Kentucky and new ways
to use Kentucky coal. The development of a process
called coal liquification is now being tested
in South Africa. If this works Kentucky has the
rights to purchase the technology and eventually
be able to furnish approximately 300 years worth
of fuel, replacing the need for foreign oil within
the state.
